INTERNAL MANAGEMENT MEMORANDUM NUMBER: 6C1-6.150-1

SUBJECT: UF/IFAS; Information Technology Policy/Advisory Committee (ITPAC)

  1. Purpose -- The purpose of the UF/IFAS Information Technology Policy/Advisory Committee is to advise the Vice President of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Deans of Research, Teaching and Extension on institution Information Technology needs, budget and long range planning. The committee should examine items of potential as well as present concerns.

  2. Membership -- The committee will be recruited solely from within UF/IFAS. Representation is intended to foster a multidisciplinary, cross-functional, project-oriented approach to problem solving.

  3. Size of ITPAC and Terms of Service -- The committee should consist of 2 ex-officio members and at least 13 others who are predominately non-technical and user oriented. They would be appointed to staggered, 2-year terms. The three deans will each appoint a representative, with the Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources appointing the remainder.

  4. Composition of ITPAC – The committee will be appointed as follows:

  5. Meetings/Year -- The committee will convene once every quarter or as needed.

  6. Chair of Committee -- The committee will elect a committee chair each year.
