INTERNAL MANAGEMENT MEMORANDUM NUMBER: 6C1-6.150-2

SUBJECT: UF/IFAS; IFAS Computer Coordinators (ICC)

1)    Purpose

The purpose of the IFAS Computer Coordinators is to provide technology planning, implementation, and support guidance to the IFAS Office of Information Technology, to provide recommendations concerning the technical impact of computer and computer network policy to the IFAS Technology Policy/Advisory Committee (ITPAC), to provide a communication channel for mutual support of technology among all IFAS units, and to provide direct input to the IFAS Senior Vice President or his designee regarding matters related to technology whenever deemed appropriate by the membership.

2)    Policy and Procedures

a)  Membership and responsibility

Each IFAS department head will designate a representative from his/her unit as member of the ICC.  This will normally be someone with computer support responsibilities, but may be other faculty or staff.  Unit ICC members are responsible for advising their unit administration about technology plans and programs that would impact their unit.

b)  Attendance

c)  Selection of chair

The chair of the ICC will be elected annually by the membership at the September meeting.  The chair has the responsibility of scheduling meetings, ensuring that notes about meetings are maintained on the ICC Web page, and representing the ICC as member of the ITPAC.
